During the summer, young people from various countries in Europe have conducted missionary efforts in Estonia. Latvia and Lithuania have also been the focus for groups sent out by Pentecostal European Mission (PEM). The project Impact Baltics sent out 11 teams on streets and squares in 21 different cities in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. They also participated in youth camps, spread God’s word, and visited Jewish homes, where sick elderly people with special needs received help.
When we travel around the islands of Muhu and Saaremaa, as well as the capital Tallinn, it feels like something in the atmosphere is about to change. The congregations that have been visited by the teams are filled with anticipation. There is a hope that their country, which according to surveys is classified as one of the most secular in Europe, may be entering a new time of spiritual awakening.
During the days, the youth reached 2500 people. 150 gave their lives to Jesus. 23 miraculous healings have been recorded and several have been baptized in local churches. In Estonia, successful efforts were made in Kuressaare on the island of Saaremaa, the island of Muhu, Tallinn, Pärnu, Valga, and the village called Village of Hope.

Through the campaign, new people have come to faith, and on October 18-19, a new initiative is planned: It seems to reach historical dimensions, as Billy Graham’s grandson Will Graham will be visiting. The Estonians are dreaming of a repetition of the great revival of the 1980s, which began in Tallinn shortly after Billy Graham’s visit over 40 years ago.
Then the charismatic revival spread from Estonia to Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Georgia, and Siberia. It became the great spiritual breakthrough of the Soviet era. Many are now praying that this would happen again.
