Brevlådemissionen (The Mailbox Mission) started to distribute Bibles in Northern Sweden already four years ago. The goal is to reach every home in Sweden with the Word of God. Currently, Testaments are being distributed in Gothenburg area. 720 young people from Germany, Paraguay, and the USA will come at their own expense to assist the Swedes in the distribution. Every home must be reached with the gospel!

The project started in the counties of Hälsingland, Härjedalen, Jämtland, Medelpad, Ångermanland, Västerbotten, Norrbotten, and Lappland/Laponia. The counties of Öland, Gotland, Värmland, Dalarna, Gästrikland, Småland, Dalsland, Bohuslän, Halland and Blekinge, have already been targeted before. So far, the Mailbox Mission has distributed approximately two million New Testaments in the contemporary language to Swedish homes.

During June-August 2025, about 1000 young people will participate in the distribution of God´s word in Gothenburg area. Approximately half a million books will be delivered. The total cost of the books is about 750,000 Euros, of which more than half part already have been raised through voluntary donations.

It is surprising that a large portion of the 500 young people, who came from Germany, are second-generation immigrants from the former countries of Soviet Union. When I met with the youths, many spoke Russian and shared how their parents had moved to Germany from regions and countries like Central Asia, Russia, and Ukraine after glasnost and perestroika. Now they want to dedicate their summer vacation to widen the borders of God’s kingdom, so that it can expand even to the northern parts of Scandinavia..

The Mailbox Mission is already planning even a larger distribution campaign and an evangelistic event for the next summer in Stockholm area. The aim is to organize a major concert and a celebration event at Sergels Torg in the main center of the Swedish capital. The plan is that over a thousand young people could join, sing and give praice to our Lord Jesus. The youths I met are fervently praying for the Nordic countries and they believe that the revival will soon be spread out even to the farthest corners of our Europe.

The distribution of the Hopp books began with a joint worship service held in the Pentecostal Church at Redbergsplatsen in Gothenburg, where Swedish and Finnish congregations in Gothenburg have gathered for several decades.
